The Contributor day begins with a welcome session and orientation for new participants. After that, contributors join their preferred teams to start collaborating.
It’s not just about work — it’s a day full of networking, learning, and friendship. You’ll meet WordPress veterans, agency owners, plugin authors, and community organizers who all share one goal: to make WordPress even better.
You don’t need to be a developer! WordPress is built by people with all kinds of skills. You can join teams such as:

To get the most out of Contributor Day, make sure you claim your ticket and complete the separate Contributor Day registration so organizers can reserve your spot and table. On the practical side, bring your WordCamp badge and a charged laptop with your usual tools; sign in to or create a WordPress.org account (and GitHub/GlotPress if relevant) before you arrive. It also helps to pick a preferred team ahead of time so you know where to start, and to skim the Make WordPress handbooks related to that area. Above all, bring an open mind and a willingness to learn — mentors and table leads will be there to help, so don’t hesitate to ask questions and try new workflows.
